Book Chapter on Technology Entrepreneurship in Theory and Practice

This book was published in April 2025, and I was honored to contribute a chapter with my co-author and mentor, June Y. Lee, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of San Francisco School of Management.

Back in 2022, I worked as a Research Associate at USF School of Management. My experience in product development and management, combined with the opportunity to work alongside June Y. Lee, helped us create a chapter devoted to developing a business model and strategy for STEM and tech ventures. The chapter centers on business validation through data-based experimentation, opening with how tech trends have shifted over the last two decades to highlight the importance of a solid, yet always iterative and evidence-based validation process.

These principles are core, day-to-day priorities for product managers, but they are not limited to the software space or the product lifecycle. This is the main message of the chapter to scientists and technologists who are starting a new venture.
